Campground

I wasn't expecting to have cell service while camping here, I prefer to be disconnected.

The Royal Lake campground is an excellent place for families with kids. The campsite is nice and clear with big trees, and the washroom with warm water can take a shower after playing the whole day.

Loved this campground. Sites were spacious and spaced out well with lots of greenery in between. 10min walk to the beach which was Sandy and quaint. The camp ground is smaller with fewer sites than neighboring parks but that's what makes this park so much nicer.

If you have small kids that like playing in the forest, or playing out later in the evening, this may not be the site for you. The one camp host is very strict and brags that she evicts people regularly. I camped here once with just 1 friend and she was super nice and friendly to us, and another time with my younger teenagers and she was super rude and said we'd had noise complaints against our site despite the fact we had been gone all day in other areas of the park. It's too bad because the campground is beautiful and such close proximity to the lake.
