We LOVED this place. It’s right on the ocean, and it’s deep in a coastal forest. There is a ton to do for all ages, they have amazing tours of the historical fort. They have bike trails everywhere. There is a shipwreck on the beach. It’s right near Astoria, where Goonies was filmed….which is AWESOME. The town of Astoria also has killer brew pubs, amazing fish n chips stands and an amazing coast guard museum. But the VERY best thing is that you can DRIVE YOUR TRUCK ONTO THE BEACH and have a fire and cook pork swords and watch the sunset and eat s’mores and watch your kids frolic in the waves and maybe spot a beach elk (so random) and just generally have the best time ever. AND….it fills up fast so the best chance you have a getting a spot is using campnab. For reals. We booked the whole trip last minute on campnab!
Tell us when, where, and how long you want to camp for. We’ll notify you (via SMS) when a suitable spot opens up at that campground—so you can nab that sold-out campsite reservation!
