Decent, but about to get electric upgrades
As of Sept 2023, only the sites in loop A have electric hookups. According to a ranger, they will close this winter and install electric in loop B, as well as work on other improvements. This a good stopover off of I-40, between Albuquerque and Amarillo. There is some decent shade in a few sites, but it depends on which way it's facing. Not many tall trees, but each site does have a covered picnic table. The showers are hot, but there are 2 stalls that share a common changing area. It's fine if you happen to be the only one there, but if there is a crowd, it could be awkward. Hopefully, that is one of the projects they will work on this winter.
