A brief introduction to Morro Strand SB
Morro Strand State Beach (formerly Atascadero State Beach) is a protected beach within California's state park system located in north Morro Bay along California State Route 1. Morro Strand is a popular coastal frontage park on Estero Bay featuring the Morro Strand Trail and picnic sites. A three-mile stretch of beach connects the southern and northern entrances to the beach. Dogs are prohibited in part due to the nesting and protection of the Western Snowy Plover. Fishing, surfing, beach walking, and jogging are popular activities.

So great!
On the beach. Quiet. Calm. People were really pleasant. No showers though but you can drive to morro bay sp up the hill and take one.
Very tight spaces!
We stayed two nights, full hookups, These spaces were very tight with just enough room for slides and to drop steps on other side! The bathrooms looked nice but alas, no TP! Showers we did not use.
This place was $64 a night! Close proximity to the beach with great views of morrow rock! Should have stayed in Morrow Strand State beach RV!
Popular place
We were traveling with friends and the park was booked solid on the dates we wanted. CampNab to the rescue and both our friends and us nabbed FHU sites! The FHU sites are arrayed on the east side of the park, with room for a MH or trailer and another vehicle. The FHU sites are close together, but it's doable. The rest of the park is basically parking next to a table and fire ring. We stayed for four days and I'd say that was probably a long enough time enough (at least for us) for the area and the park. However, it's a good base from which to explore. Google Street View has the entire park available for exploration.
