A brief introduction to Camp Nihan
Camp Nihan Education Center is a 65-acre woodland property in Saugus, just north of Boston. Managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, it offers rustic cabins and group tent sites for families, schools, and other organized groups. Visitors can hike, fish, observe wildlife, and take part in environmental education activities.
Cabins include bunk beds, tables, a pellet stove, a refrigerator, and limited electricity. Facilities are basic, with portable toilets but no showers or running water. Camping may require a special-use permit, and restrictions include no pets, swimming, alcohol, or biking.
