T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park Camping

The campground just reopened in October and we are so glad to have snagged a spot! Brand new FHU sites and a few tent/vanlife only (water/electric) sites around 2 loops. Each gravel rv site has 50/30/15, water, sewer, standing grill, in ground fire pit, and a picnic table. There are several kid-friendly day use areas within the park and a camper-only boardwalk to the beach. Two bathhouses with laundry at each one, plus a vending machine. Bunches of places to ride your bike or walk as well as 3 hiking trails within the park. The camping loop is away from the day use areas and SO QUIET. The land is recovering from the storm so the sites are completely exposed without any tree cover or vegetation between sites. As with most coastal areas, bring the bug spray.

Really looking forward to the rebuilt, hurricane-destroyed St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Our fave for many years. It's been years since Hurricane Michael wiped it out. We are still in mourning. Hopefully the new digs will be ready later this year.
